Featuring guest speaker Rachel Bell, Head of Marketing at Lake District Estates, this year’s H&H Ladies Lunch highlights an inspirational woman who has made significant contributions to Cumbrian communities.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, H&H Group is proud to host its third annual Ladies in Business Lunch, to showcase innovation, and leadership of women in business. Being held in the Auctioneer’s Suite at Borderway Carlisle, on Thursday, 6th March, it will bring together noted female figures and provide an opportunity to network and raise funds for RABI, RSABI, and the local mental health charity Growing Well.
As a company that employs women across a diverse range of roles - from senior leadership positions to key operational and support functions, H&H Group Plc is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive workplace where women can excel professionally and personally. This event underscores the Group’s commitment to encouraging women in all areas of its business.
Nina Oxley, Marketing Manager for H&H Group, reflects on the importance of the event: “International Women’s Day offers us the perfect opportunity to highlight the significant contributions women make in business, agriculture, and rural industries both in Cumbria and further afield. This I know will be more than evident through our guest speaker’s presentation.
“H&H Group is proud to support women in various roles across its individual businesses, and events like this one reinforce our commitment to equality and inclusion, as well as supporting our chosen charities.”
Rachel Bell, Head of Marketing & Business Development at Lake District Estates, is the guest speaker and will share her journey in the tourism and hospitality industry. With nearly two decades of experience, Rachel has been instrumental in promoting sustainability and accessibility within Cumbria, leading projects like the Changing Places initiative and contributing to the region’s efforts to achieve carbon net zero by 2037.
Additionally, Laura Cadman, a highly successful business leader in her own right and a leadership, organisational, and personal mastery coach, will initiate a pre-lunch opening session. Dedicated to transforming businesses by shaping leaders, culture, behaviours, and effectiveness through targeted training and coaching, Laura will bring invaluable insights to the event.
Tickets for this event are £20 with all the monies donated to RABI, RSABI, and Growing Well, three charities dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being in rural communities
“This Ladies Day Lunch is not just about celebrating the achievements of women but also about providing a platform for women to discuss their own individual roles and future aspirations,” concludes Nina.
